Geri Horner has opened up about her bulimia battle while she was in the Spice Girls.
The 44-year-old singer admitted that she became locked in a cycle of "comfort eating and purging" and hid her illness from her fellow Spice Girls; Victoria Beckham, Mel C, Mel B and Emma Bunton.
Speaking on OWN's 'Where Are They Now?', she explained: "I started being bulimic and no one would notice it because your body weight stays pretty much the same. It's bloody dangerous."
"I felt much more conscious of myself, my body weight. We all used different tools to get by, coping mechanisms. For me [it] was controlling my body weight."
Geri eventually beat her illness with the help of 12-step meetings and now has a healthy relationship with food.
She is married to Red Bull Formula 1 Team Principal Christian Horner and has a 10-year-old daughter Bluebell from a previous relationship.
Meanwhile, Geri has been working with Mel B and Emma on new Spice Girls music and a new track, 'Song For Her', their first material for nine years, was leaked last month.
A source said at the time: "Obviously the girls have been recording in the studio over the past few months.
"The plan is very much for there to be new music."
Geri, Emma and Mel B are expected to perform a one-off show in London's Hyde Park next July to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary but Mel C and Victoria have opted out.
