Geri Halliwell is "disappointed" her fiancé's parents have decided not to attend the couple's wedding.
The former Spice Girl hoped the family rift was on the mend and that her partner Christian Horner's mother and father Garry and Sara could be persuaded to accept their invite to the nuptials, but they declined a place at the ceremony.
A source close to the couple told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Geri and Christian are disappointed that his parents aren't coming, but all his brothers, close family and pals will be there.
"It is going to be a great day so they aren't over-thinking it."
Christian and his parents have had a strained relationship since he left his partner of 14 years, Beverley Allen just months after she gave birth to their first daughter Olivia. Although the Red Bull Formula One boss and his ex now have an amicable relationship Garry and Sara are still "devastated" by the split.
The source said: "They have resolved their differences having come to an agreement and Christian is just getting on with things now.
"Both Geri and Christian are very excited about spending the rest of their lives together. Geri has been planning her big day for a while and it is going to be a fairytale wedding."
Geri and Christian will tie the knot this Friday (15.05.15) at Syon House in west London.
The 42-year-old singer - who has been engaged three times but never married - will be walked down the aisle by her eight-year-old daughter Bluebell.
The source added: "Geri loves her family, and has made sure they have pride of place on the big day.
"Even though Christian's parents won't be there, her mum and sister will be there supporting her all the way."
