George Shelley is in a "tough situation" with Selena Gomez.
The Union J singer has been romantically linked with the US star - who previously dated Justin Bieber - after they met at one of her shows in Lisbon, Portugal last month and while he thinks the "classy" beauty is "lovely", he admits their working commitments could make a relationship tough.
George admitted: "Selena's one of the classiest girls I've ever met and I love class in girls. So... yeah! She's a superstar, she's very busy and we're just starting out. It's a very tough situation. But she's very lovely..."
George, 19, insisted nothing happened with Selena beyond a conversation and he is astonished at how much their relationship has been speculated about.
He said: "Nothing [happened]! We just chatted - all of us were there. It was lovely of her to invite us back to her place, but it was a private thing. We were a bit shocked it got into the papers. It highlighted the fact that you don't know who to trust."
Meanwhile, George's bandmate Josh Cuthbert insisted it was too early to start calling the pair a couple.
He quipped to Now magazine: "I haven't seen enough of them together. I don't even think you can mention the 'c word' around them yet. Justin Bieber's Mr Cool - he's the dog's b******s - so George has some big boots to fill."
