George Clooney won't play pranks on his wife.
The 'Monuments Men' actor is known for his love of practical jokes but he fears the consequences if he ever made his lawyer spouse Amal the butt of one of his gags.
Asked if he plays jokes on Amal, he said: "Listen, she's a lawyer. I can get in trouble. She can do anything to me. I could be behind bars."
While there are no pranks in his marriage, the 54-year-old actor insists he has a lot of "fun" with his wife.
He told 'Entertainment Tonight': "It's been pretty great. I'm very lucky, and I'm very happy and we have a really fun time.
"I'm very proud of the things that she does in the world and who she is, and she has a wonderful family and friends. It's been a really exciting, fun time."
George famously vowed never to marry again following his four-year union with actress Talia Balsam, which ended in 1993, and he admits his friends mocked him when he tied the knot with Amal last September.
He said: "There were all the jokes and the bits and I get all that stuff, but I couldn't be happier right now.
"I wake up in the morning and I think, 'This couldn't be better.' "
And the 'Tomorrowland' actor is impressed with how his British wife is handling life in the spotlight.
He told E!: "[She's] used to it as much as you can get used to it.
"I mean, this gets a little nutty. It's tricky sometimes walking outside of a hotel and having people follow you and stuff.
"It's hard to still practice law. Sometimes it is, but she's handling it really well."
