Gal Gadot almost quit acting, as she found the "rejection" hard.
The 32-year-old actress can now boast being cast as the iconic Wonder Woman, but prior to landing the role in the eponymously titled DC Comics movie, the beauty has admitted she was considering backing away from Hollywood entirely, because being rejected from roles began to take its toll.
Speaking during an interview on 'Sunday Today' which will air this weekend, she said: "I was as close as it gets [to quitting]. I never thought about becoming an actress and the opportunity kind of came my way. I started to become more curious about it, and then I fell in love with the profession - but it wasn't like I was growing up dreaming of becoming an actress.
"There's so much no. There's so much rejection in this world that I thought, 'Maybe it's not for me ... Maybe I should go back to law school instead of dragging my family with me.'"
Gal's comments come after she previously said the past year has been "overwhelming" for her, since joining the DC Comics franchise.
She said: "Honestly, the thing is, everything that's happening right now is so overwhelming. I mean, all the way from Russia and Israel to here, red carpets, talking to you, wearing [great gowns]. It's been such an amazing, crazy ride that I think I'm gonna get what's happening only in two years from now or something."
It isn't the first time the 'Keeping Up With the Joneses' star has spoken about her near miss with her acting career, as she previously said she had considered going back to her native Israel to study.
She said: "Before I got 'Wonder Woman', I was thinking about never coming back to Los Angeles, [I thought I'd] stay in Israel, work as an actress here and there, go back to university and do something else."
