Francia Raisa says Selena Gomez feels like her "family" now.
The 'Beyond Paradise' actress donated a kidney to her best friend last summer as her pal was suffering with complications from Lupus, and the procedure has brought them even closer together.
In an interview with 'Harry' host Harry Connick Jr., Francia said: "She felt bad about even having me do that because we are just friends, I am not her family or anything. Well, I am now. She has my blood."
While Francia was happy to help her friend by having the surgery, it took her two months to recover from donating her organ.
She said: "That was very humbling, I couldn't take a shower by myself, I had to have someone help me because I couldn't move. I'm a very, very active person, so the fact that my doctor said I couldn't move for two months.
"That was very hard for me and I have a dog and every day the thing I look forward to is drinking my coffee and walking and I couldn't do that. It was really really hard."
The 29-year-old star also revealed that it was harder for her to recover as the donor than it was for Selena, 25, to adjust to new life with her kidney.
She explained : "It's harder as the donor because we are losing something our body didn't need to lose, so trying to recover from that, and she's gaining something her body needed. So she's up and at it immediately and I had a hard time."
However, the actress admitted she wouldn't have it any other way.
After the procedure Francia wrote: "I am beyond grateful that God would trust me with something that not only saved a life, but changed mine in the process."
