Evanna Lynch missed all the drama when she joined the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise – especially the cast crushes.
The 29-year-old actress didn't join the film series as Luna Lovegood until 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' when the rest of the cast had grown out of their crushes on each other.
Speaking to the new issue of Us Weekly magazine, "Oh, it was so disappointing for me because I joined on the fifth one. I was on Order of the Phoenix and there was this sense that exciting things had happened in the last movie, and I just missed it.
“[I joined when] everyone had kind of grown out of their crushes and they were moving on to, like, people in the outside world. And I felt that like, damn, I missed all the drama! It was so fun the last film, according to some stories. But no, by the time I got there, they were all mature and those hormones were calming down."
It comes after Emma Watson - who played heroic Hermione Granger - revealed she was romantically keen on co-star Tom Felton - whose alter ego was the villainous Draco Malfoy - during the first two movies but the pair have never openly discussed if they ever dated.
Speaking in 2011, Emma said: “For the first two movies, I had a huge crush on Tom Felton. He was my first crush … He totally knows. We talked about it — we still laugh about it. We are really good friends now, and that’s cool."
Although Evanna is sure they would have made a great couple she never probed them on their friendship.
She said: “They’re both such charismatic and gorgeous people. It’s hard to see how they wouldn’t, but I don’t know. I would never have the nerve to ask either of them about that!”
However, Rupert Grint - who played Ron Weasley in the franchise - suspects the two actors have since explored their connection.
He said in 2019: “There was always something. There was a little bit of a spark. But we were kids. It was like any kind of playground romance. I didn’t have any sparks. I was spark-free.”
