Eva Marie's husband has slammed her WWE suspension as "unjust".
The 'Total Divas' star - whose real name is Natalie Coyle - was hit with a 30-day ban by the organisation on Thursday (18.08.16) for breaching their wellness policy but her spouse Jonathan Coyle claims fans will be "outraged" when they learn why she has been punished.
He tweeted: "When the public finds out why my wife was unjustly suspended they will be absolutely outraged! Official statement and facts coming soon.(sic)"
And he has vowed to be by his wife's side throughout her difficulties.
He wrote on Instagram: "It is my honor to go through every storm life may throw at us with this woman. I'm proud to be your husband.(sic)"
The WWE implemented its WWE Talent Wellness Program in 2006 and it includes substance abuse and drug testing, cardiovascular testing, ImPACT, testing for brain function, annual physicals and health care referrals.
Eva Marie had been scheduled to compete at SummerSlam, teaming with Natalya and Alexa Bliss against Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Carmella, but the ban means she won't be able to participate in the match.
The news of her suspension came a day after it was announced Alberto Del Rio and Paige have also been suspended for the same reason.
The couple - whose real names are Saraya-Jade Bevis and Jose Rodriguez - also received a 30-day suspension.
The WWE said in a statement: "WWE has suspended Saraya-Jade Bevis (Paige) and Jose Rodriguez (Alberto Del Rio) each for 30 days effective tomorrow, August 18, for a first violation of the company's talent wellness policy."
Meanwhile, in June, WWE superstar Roman Reigns was also suspended for violating the company's talent wellness policy.
The 31-year-old former heavyweight champion - whose real name is Leati Anoa'i - was also banned from appearing in the ring for 30 days.
