Emma Roberts was shocked when Victoria Beckham interacted with her on Instagram.
The 33-year-old actress has been a fan of fashion designer Victoria, 50, since she was in the Spice Girls alongside Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel B, and Melanie C in the 1990s and when Emma started up her Belletrist reading platform, thought it was a "glitch" her when she received a shoutout from Posh Spice herself.
She told Cosmopolitan: ". For me, I’m always so blown away when people come up to me and they’re like, 'Oh my god, I love your book club', instead of mentioning a movie or a show I’ve been in. That always gives me joy because I put my heart into the book club. All the recommendations are books me and Karah really love.
"We have so many great people supporting Belletrist. My good friends Ashley Benson and Nicky Hilton always support the book club, which I really appreciate. I mean, the surprise shout-out wasn’t for my book club but for me—from Victoria Beckham! She knew who I was on Instagram and that was huge. Someone asked her, “Who’s someone that follows you?” She said my name, and I thought it was a glitch."
The former 'Scream Queens' star declared that she is Victoria's "biggest fan" and has kept a doll version of her from her heyday with the 'Wannabe' hitmaker up on her shelf all these years as she remembered being a child and indulging in the slew of merchandise that the groundbreaking girl group had to offer at the time of their initial fame.
She said: "I mean, I’m her biggest fan—I still have my Posh Spice doll on my doll shelf. So it’s just so iconic. The Spice Girls are so visceral for me that I still remember the Spice Girl Chupa Chups lollipops. They were amazing. They tasted good and they came with stickers. What more could you want as a child in the early 2000s than stickers and lollipops from the Spice Girls?"
