Emily Andre has had the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Peter Andre accompanied his wife - who has been working on the frontline as part of the NHS - to Epsom Hospital in Surrey to have the first dose of the jab.
Epson & St Helier NHS Trust wrote on Twitter: "On Friday we welcomed Dr Emily Macdonagh and @MrPeterAndre to Epsom Hospital to record Emily's first dose of the #COVID19 vaccine! They asked questions and learnt all about the vaccine from our frontline staff. (sic)"
Emily tested positive for coronavirus in July and had to isolate away from her family but despite the challenges, she insisted they all adapted to the circumstances "really well".
She said at the time: "I was only able to wave at them from the top of the stairs. Myself and Pete also slept in separate bedrooms just to be on the safe side.
"It was horrible but the family adapted to it really well and I got a big hug at the end. I had a sore throat and lost my sense of smell and taste for a week."
And earlier this month, Peter also contracted COVID-19 and decided to get tested for the highly contagious respiratory illness as he was feeling "extremely tired and unwell".
His management team confirmed: "He's recovering at home. He is coping well."
A source added: "Peter started feeling unwell a few days ago, but he didn’t suspect that he had COVID, despite feeling extremely tired and unwell. But he decided to go for a test to make sure as he started feeling weak, which is unusual for him and he struggles to breathe sometimes."
