Ellie Goulding has thanked fans for supporting her through a "very tough" time.
The 'Army' singer split from McFly bassist Dougie Poynter again last month - just a few weeks after they reconciled following a separation in December - and has admitted seeing her audience's positive reactions to her shows has kept her spirits up in the wake of her heartbreak.
She tweeted: "UK Delirium tour starts Tuesday... Can't tell you how excited I am. Seeing you all singing back at me every night has kept me in the happiest place in what could have been a very tough few weeks. Thank you.(sic)"
It was claimed Ellie, 28, and Dougie, also 28, had decided to end their two-year romance again because of their busy schedules.
A source said recently: "They are finding it hard to spend time together as Ellie's music career takes her all over the world and she is pulled in different directions. Dougie is trying to make it in America as an actor and they are drifting apart."
But the split came shortly after the 'Starry Eyed' singer had said their romance was back on track and they were taking each day as it comes.
She said: "We're realistic about the fact that I'm in Europe and he's in Los Angeles and we take each day as it comes ... I won't see him for a long time."
