Ellie Goulding is too "annoyingly traditional" to propose to Dougie Poynter.

The 'Burn' hitmaker is incredibly happy in her relationship with the McBusted bassist and though she can see a long-term future with him, she won't be popping the question because she wants any engagement to happen in the "normal" way.
Asked if she'd propose, she said: "Hmmmm, no. I'm all about making women do things that blokes should do, but there's a part of me that's annoyingly traditional...
"You know, my life is so weird that I do want some normal things - things I grew up thinking were normal, like getting married in a white dress in a church and having an after-party.
"And a hen do - all my best friends in Ibiza or something."
Dougie has been teetotal since undergoing a stint in rehab in 2012 and Ellie insists it is "totally cool" as she no longer drinks to excess either, though she admits she used to.
She told Cosmopolitan magazine: "I don't drink to excess, so it's totally cool, but I did have a period where I felt like I did.
"I was touring with Bruno Mars [in 2013] and I definitely was drinking too much. I was a bit out of control... I wasn't happy."
Before finding love with Dougie, the 29-year-old star dated DJ Greg James and producer Skrillex and is still on good terms with both.
She said: "I don't let many people into my life, so when I do, it's pretty special. I don't want to let them go that easily."
