Ellen Page felt like a "new person" when she came out as gay.
The 'Juno' actress confirmed last year she is a lesbian and admitted she "immediately" felt much better for being open about her personal life.
Speaking in a Brazilian TV interview, she said: "I immediately felt like a new person... this weight that you don't even realise necessarily that you're carrying just completely disappears."
While she is open about her sexuality, Ellen, 28, is coy about whether she is in a relationship at the moment.
Asked if she is dating right now, she laughed and said: "No comment."
The 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' actress revealed that she was homosexual at an Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) event last year and previously admitted she had never been more nervous before speaking out.
She said: "It was the most nervous I've ever been in my life, for sure. My biggest fear of doing it was having a panic attack, but I was so ready to do it and quite frankly so excited to do it.
"So it was a combination of [being] just such a thrill to finally be at that place in my life where I was able to do that."
