Ellen DeGeneres dedicated her Teen Choice Award win to wife Portia de Rossi last night (16.08.15).
The 57-year-old talk show host picked up the Choice Comedian prize on her seventh wedding anniversary and ended her speech with a shout-out to her 42-year-old spouse, who looked on from the audience at Los Angeles' Galen Theater with her hand on her heart.
Ellen said: "And what an amazing day this is. This is my seven-year wedding anniversary, so happy anniversary. It's yours, too."
When she picked up the award, Ellen gave a touching speech in which she referenced her struggle to come out as lesbian in the public eye, and encouraged youngsters to embrace their differences.
She said: "It feels good to be chosen, but there was a time in my life where I was not chosen - I was the opposite of chosen because I was different.
"And I think I want to make sure that everyone knows that what makes you different right now makes you stand out later in life, so you should be proud of being different. You should be proud of who you are.
"The most important thing I want to say is, just really embrace who you are because being unique is very, very important, and fitting in is not really all that matters. It's being unique and being who you are."
