Eddie Redmayne's friends love taking selfies with his Oscar.
The 33-year-old star won the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in 'The Theory of Everything' earlier this year and has revealed his pals are often taking photos with the iconic gong when they visit his home.
He said: "It's sort of like they walk in and before they've said hello to you and its more about taking a selfie with the thing."
Eddie - who keeps the prestigious award on a side table with some photographs - admitted he's still not got used to seeing it there.
He told E! News: "I still can't believe it exists."
The 'Jupiter Ascending' actor is currently promoting his new film 'The Danish Girl', in which he portrays Lili Elbe, the first transgender woman to undergo sexual reassignment surgery in the early 30s, and he's confessed he would love to be nominated for another Academy Award.
Asked if he's hoping to have Oscar bookends once the accolades have been handed out, he said: "Oh, God."
Speaking about the film's upcoming release, Eddie added: "It's been 15 years in the making. The fact the film is coming out in the world and people seem to enjoy it, it's for me one of the greatest things."
