Eddie Redmayne thinks James Martin is "ingenious".
The 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' actor is in awe of how easy the chef made it look to interview people while rustling up a meal on his old show 'Saturday Kitchen'.
He gushed: "His ability to do a live show while cooking, while interviewing someone, was ingenious.
"Watch other people try and you realise how hard it is."
One of the 34-year-old actor's first roles was in stage production 'The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?' and his siblings used to delight in sitting in the audience at London's Almeida Theatre, just to make their financier father feel uncomfortable.
Eddie explained to Esquire magazine: "In the play I had to snog my dad [Jonathan Pryce], and my brothers used to come to see it with my dad in order to watch his face."
Eddie won praise for his portrayal of transgendre Lilli Elbe in 'The Danish Girl', but it was only the success of his movie 'The Theory of Everything' that saw the film finally obtain the financial backing it needed.
But the Oscar-winning star is still unsure whether that was down to him or not.
He uneasily said: "So, that was the first time... but I don't know whether that... you'd have to speak to the Working Title guys [Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan, the film's producers] to know whether it became easier to finance the film on the back of it."
Asked if he knows how he's regarded in terms of box office bankability, he added: "No! And it's one thing that actors should never ever be able to see."
The British star - who has four-month-old daughter Iris with wife Hannah - is uncomfortable talking about his wealth but admits he's "lucky".
Asked what the announcement there will be five 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' movies means for him in monetary terms, he said: "I don't know how one navigates the... gosh, how do you answer that. That's... but, um. I'm very lucky."
