Eamonn Holmes has been placed on a sex ban.
The 'This Morning' presenter, 56, is set to undergo a double hip replacement next month and has been told by doctors that he and his wife Ruth Langsford, who he married in 2010 following 13 years together, must refrain from too much "hanky panky" in order to speed up the recovery process.
Explaining too much sex is the reason he's having to undergo the operation in the first place, Eamonn told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'm facing a two week double hip operation, she wore them out, she's got to help wear them in."
Ruth, 55, clearly being the concerned spouse, added: "The doctor says no hanky panky and no strong exercise."
Meanwhile, Eamonn, who is set to spend 10 weeks off air in order to recover, is looking forward to the operation because it'll stop the pain he's been battling with on and off for years.
He said: "I just want to get it done now because I'm in a lot of pain. I can't stand for long periods of time. It's not great."
However, the broadcaster, whose pain is caused by a degenerative hereditary condition, initially put off the operation because he didn't want to be seen as "old."
He said previously: "I've been putting it off for years but it's got to the stage where I can't delay it any longer. It's very painful and does stop me doing certain things."
