Dustin Diamond is in jail.
The 38-year-old actor - known for his role as Screech in 'Saved By The Bell' - was convicted last year of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct during a Christmas Day bar brawl in Wisconsin in 2014 and on Friday night (15.01.16) he began serving a four-month prison sentence.
Dustin had delayed entering jail for over six months, when he filed a motion to appeal in June 2015, after being convicted of the crime in May.
Police found that the former TV star pulled a switchblade knife on a man and stabbed him, during a barroom brawl at the Grand Avenue Saloon in Port Washington in the suburbs of Milwaukee.
Dustin claimed he pulled the knife to defend himself and his fiancée at the time, Amanda Schutz, against a group of men but accidently stabbed the man during the altercation.
Amanda was also found guilty of disorderly conduct.
The couple were ordered to pay $1,500 in restitution to the stabbing victim, who suffered a non-life-threatening wound, and Dustin was further sentenced to 15 months of probation
