Drew Barrymore has become a "better person" since having children.
The 'Blended' actress - who split from husband Will Kopelman earlier this month - thinks it is important for daughters Olive, three, and Frankie, two, to see her working hard and being passionate about the things that are important to her.
She said: "I think it's good to show my kids I'm passionate and have a good work ethic and that you have to earn what you have in this world.
"[Motherhood's] just made me such a better person. I always love and try to live on the high road. I think you feel best when you behave or react or come from the high road place. And my kids have elevated that for me in a way that is indescribable."
The 41-year-old actress recently got her daughters' names tattooed on her wrist and she feels happy every time she sees the inking.
She told 'Entertainment Tonight': "They're my favourite people on the planet, and just seeing it every day makes me happy.
"Always remember what's important and that joy is in everything... they are my joy."
Drew recently celebrated Frankie's birthday with a party which boasted a photo booth, a balloon modeller who "built bicycles for the kids" and a cake from the tot's favourite bakery, Sweet Lady Jane, and all the guests had a great time.
Drew said: "The whole family was there and all the in-laws and all of Olive's friends from school. It was awesome."
