I love David Beckham and would really wish to be a dad like him. Despite him being a busy working father he seems to be really hands on and he is always out and about enjoying time with his children.

David Beckham might be a hero on the pitch but a recent survey shows that he is a hero off the pitch too. He’s one of the most famous footballers in the world and now David Beckham takes the crown as Britain’s most admired dad. The sports website TV Bet asked 412 British men which famous dad they admired the most and both David Beckham and Prince William were first and second place in the polling.

Prince William may not be a father yet but he still snagged 18% of the votes as people clearly believe he will make an excellent father when the royal baby arrives this summer.

David Beckham won with 24% of the vote and one respondent stated ‘I love David Beckham and would really wish to be a dad like him. Despite him being a busy working father he seems to be really hands on and he is always out and about enjoying time with his children. He is also a great British ambassador and my children are mad about football.’

Surprisingly, Peter Andre only had a shy 11% of the votes. Although Andre’s parenting skills have never been doubted the people at TV Bet expected a higher number of votes for the Mysterious Girl singer. Another surprise was Wayne Rooney being present in the survey and he received 10% of the votes. Prime minster David Cameron also got 7% of the votes, even though he famously left his daughter in a pub. Well you have to give him some credit; he has got a country to run and in his defence a participant states that ‘David Cameron is a great dad and he clearly makes time for his family despite having to run the country. I can forgive him for leaving his daughter behind in pub as I’m sure we’ve all done it from time to time.‘

Other famous faces that also reached the top ten were David Walliams, Chris Martin and Jamie Oliver, who is appreciated for his work to improve school dinners for millions of British kids. David Beckham has many titles but now he can proudly say that he is Britain’s role model father.
