The former members of Destiny's Child knew it was "time" to work together again this year.
Michelle Williams says her Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Beyonce wanted to add vocals to her new track 'Say Yes' as soon as they heard it.
Michelle Williams has enlisted her former bandmates Kelly Rowland and Beyonce to sing on 'Say Yes' from her forthcoming solo album 'Journey to Freedom' and says the pair wanted to add their vocals as soon as they heard the song.
Michelle said: "It was time, you know. We always let each other listen to our music in advance. They heard 'Say Yes' and were like, 'Right now is the time for Destiny's Child to make a single. No red tape, none of that."
The 33-year-old star loved getting back in the studio with Beyonce and Kelly and thinks they make a "spiritual" sound together.
She told Us Weekly magazine: "I'm so glad that I did it.
"It was so much fun. No matter what, with our three voices together, there's no harmony like that.
"That blend that we [have]... there's something spiritual about it."
Michelle believes the only thing that has changed in the trio since their days in the band are "growth and confidence".
She added: "Everybody's their own woman doing their own thing."
