Demi Moore's dog has acupuncture sessions.
The 53-year-old actress pays $715-per-session for her Chihuahua Vida Blue to undergo biweekly needle treatments to keep the canine calm and happy.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "There's nothing wrong with her dog, Demi's is just really into holistic food and medicine for her animals, the way she is for herself."
And veterinarian to the stars Patrick Mahaney - who has treated Lisa Vanderpump's Pomeranian pup among other famous pets - insists the ancient Chinese healing practice has lots of benefits for animals.
He said: "It can calm down an anxious dog. It also stimulates appetite and treats muscle spasms."
Demi - who has daughters Rumer, 27, Scout, 24, and Tallulah, 21, with ex-husband Bruce Willis - also takes Vida Blue to yoga class with her and feeds the mutt organic food. She has been practising Kundalini Yoga for the last few years.
The Hollywood beauty has long been an advocate of healthy eating, meditation and spiritualism and become a follower of Kabbalah after being introduced the religion - which is based on Jewish mysticism - by her second spouse Ashton Kutcher, whom she is now divorced from.
