Demi Lovato has slammed a frozen yoghurt store for promoting diet foods.
The 'Sober' singer - who has battled drug addiction and an eating disorder - urged The Bigg Chill in Los Angeles to "do better" as she felt they were pushing a diet culture by putting sugar-free and low-calorie foods in prominent positions in the store.
She complained on her Instagram Story: "Finding it extremely hard to order froyo from [The Bigg Chill] when you have to walk past tons of sugar-free cookies/other diet foods before you get to the counter. Do better please.(sic)"
And the 28-year-old star vowed to shame other stores she felt were doing the same using the hashtag #DietCultureVultures.
She wrote: "So I think I'm gonna have to make that hashtag a thing.
"I will be calling harmful messages from brands or companies that perpetuate a society that not only enables but praises disordered eating.(sic)"
Demi recently admitted she wanted to "give up" on sobriety after reading a "triggering" story calling her "morbidly obese".
She said: "I think it was right after I got out of rehab in 2018. I saw an article somewhere that said I was morbidly obese.
"And that is the most triggering thing that you could possibly write about somebody with an eating disorder. That sucked, and I wanted to quit, I wanted to use, wanted to give up...
"And then I just realised that if I don't look at those things then they can't affect me. So, I stopped looking and I just really try not to look at anything negative."
Meanwhile, Demi recently revealed she has been smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol "in moderation".
She said: "I've learned that it doesn't work for me to say that I'm never going to do this again... I know I'm done with the stuff that's going to kill me, right?
"Telling myself that I can never have a drink or smoke marijuana, I feel like that's setting myself up for failure because I am such a black-and-white thinker.
"I had it drilled into my head for so many years that one drink was equivalent to a crack pipe... [I've] been smoking weed and drinking in moderation."
