Debbie Harry broke into Stonehenge after she played a festival in 1999.
The Blondie singer attempted to gatecrash the historical landmark in Wiltshire by climbing over the fences that surrounded the prehistoric monument with her band mates Chris Stein and Chem Burke after their energetic Glastonbury set 17 years ago but she bottled it at the last minute and ended up walking down the path instead.
When Gordon Smart asked her on his Radio X Evening Show (09.02.17), to recall her version of events that day, the 71-year-old star said: "Well, I remember different aspects of it and climbing over the fences wasn't... I don't think that I was one of the fence climbers, you know. But I think, you know, the boys had to touch, you know they wanted to really touch that big stone and I envy them that..."
However, the blonde bombshell didn't miss out on the experience altogether as she managed to get close enough to the giant boulders to feel the "magnetic force."
The 'Heart of Glass' hitmaker explained: "We were allowed to go up the path and I remember feeling some kind of - I know I'll probably be debunked about this - but I remember getting closer to the ring and feeling, like, this sort of magnetic force, you know like this sort of electrical feeling that came. Clearly I walked through this field of energy when I got up closer to it. So I'll never forget that, that was quite something."
