David Harbour says his marriage to Lily Allen is "so great".
The 48-year-old actor tied the knot with 'Smile' hitmaker Lily - who was initially married to Sam Cooper and has Ethel, 11, as well as 10-year-old Marnie with him - in 2020 and despite recent rumours that they had split, he has now insisted that things are going well, even though he joked that his wife will be pleased that he will be able to go back to work following the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
He told People: "It's so great. Ultimately, it's very good because you get to know someone.
"'But, let me tell you, my wife likes when I go to work because it's nice for her to have her life and me to have my life and for us not to just annoy each other by being around all the time! We have these two kids, and it's so great. We get to raise them and stuff, and as our marriage continues, we grow closer and closer."
However, the 'Stranger Things' star went on to add that the Screen Actors Guild strike - which went on for 118 days due to concerns over wages for actors and creators in the industry alike, AI technology, and how the profits of digital streaming on services such as Netflix and Disney+ can be divided before the union reached a deal with AMPTP - compared the strike to how he felt during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
He added: "It's like what happened to me in the same way in COVID, where you think to yourself like, ‘Oh, now, I kind of have all this time.’ And then you just check your Google alerts every five minutes and are just neurotically insecure."
