David Duchovny thanked 'The X-Files' creator as he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday (25.01.16).

The 55-year-old actor rose to prominence as FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder during the sci-fi TV series' initial run from 1993 to 2002, and after being honoured with the special recognition, a brass star with his name on, in Hollywood, California, he paid tribute to Chris Carter, who was also in attendance.
Speaking to fans who had gathered to watch him receive the accolade, the actor said: "I wouldn't have a career without Chris and his show 'The X Files'.
"That really made everything happen for me as an actor."
David admitted he had always dreamed of getting some sort of plaque with his name on to recognise his talents, and he is delighted to be honoured with a star in Hollywood.
He told Variety: "It's tangible and something that feels like it'll last a while. That's something special and something to reflect upon I think.
"I grew up on 11th Street and Second Avenue in New York and the Second Avenue Deli was [a block away].
"They had their own Walk of Fame in front of the deli with stars of David on the street. I thought maybe I'd get one of those one day, but this is even better."
Comedian Garry Shandling, who also played a part in David's fame on 'The Larry Sanders Show', was in attendance at the ceremony, as was his 'Aquarius' co-star Claire Hoult and fellow 'Californication' star Pamela Adlon.
