David Beckham expresses his "deeper feelings" with his tattoos.
The 40-year-old retired soccer star - who has children Brooklyn 17, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 11, and Harper, four, with wife Victoria - already has 40 inkings on his body and admits he still has plans to add to the artwork because it makes him happy.
He said: "The tattoos are a way of me expressing deeper feelings, about the things I care about and love. Am I done? Probably not.
"[I] think Victoria's given up on telling me to stop now. She used to. She used to say, 'Do you have to?' But she knows it makes me happy."
David is known for his sense of style and admits he has always enjoyed dressing up and "looking smart", even from a very young age, and is thankful to have succeeded in a profession that allowed him to earn enough to buy "nice" things.
He told America's GQ magazine: "Even as a kid, seven or eight years old, I liked to wear nice shoes. I liked to wear a nice suit my mum or dad bought me. It wouldn't have been expensive, but I always liked to dress up. I liked to look smart.
"Later, I liked having the nice cars... And luckily I was able to have it pretty young. Every penny that I earned went into something nice."
