David Beckham has admitted he is pleased he dropped his acting ambitions because he would never have been able to reach the standard of the big movie stars.

Backham - who was previously said to have been getting help from his pal Tom Cruise in his quest to become a movie star - is pleased he didn't pursue a crack at Hollywood because he would never be able to reach a good enough standard.
Speaking at the BAFTA Awards at London's Royal Opera House last night (08.02.15), he is quoted by Metro newspaper as saying: "I have done a few things over the last 15 years, but nothing of these standards. I will keep it at that, I think."
Despite his glittering career on the football field, including 59 of his 115 caps coming as England captain, the 39-year-old star still gets star-struck.
He added: "I do get excited. I just bumped into Benedict [Cumberbatch]. He's a great guy. I have met him a few times over the last six months. It's great to be here and see so many talented people."
David presented the Best British Film prize to the cast of 'The Theory of Everything' - in which fellow Brit Eddie Redmayne portrays physicist Stephen Hawking - and before handing out the accolade he admitted he and wife Victoria Beckham loved the movie but the couple have mainly been watching kids films.
Speaking on the red carpet beforehand, the star - who has kids Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12, Cruz, nine, and three-year-old Harper with the raven-haired beauty - told Radio 1's Newsbeat: "Well the majority of films we've watched for the last fifteen years have been kids films.
"But we've watched the odd errr ... I was going to say adult movie, obviously not, but not kids movies ...
"'Paddington', 'Lego Movie', me and Victoria watched 'The Theory of Everything' with Eddie in it, he's unbelievable."
