David Arquette has got engaged.
The 42 year old actor proposed to girlfriend Christina McLarty as they enjoyed dinner at Mastro's steakhouse in Malibu, California with their son Charlie, two months, and his 10 year old daughter Coco, who he has with ex-wife Courteney Cox - yesterday.
According to E! News, the group arrived at the ocean-view restaurant shortly after 6pm and around 45 minutes later, David asked his family to follow him outside, where he got down on one knee and popped the question with a blue-stoned ring.
Christina was heard asking: "Coco, did you know?"
The youngster replied "maybe", before bursting into giggles and shouting "engaged!".
The 33 year old entertainment reporter was described as "beaming from ear to ear" when they walked back into the restaurant.
The happy news comes just days after David's ex-wife Courteney announced her own engagement, to Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid and the former couple, who split in 2010 after almost 11 years of marriage, had reportedly had discussions about marriage to their new partners.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "David was just waiting for the right time. He and Courteney both talked about taking the next step in their relationships ... They both want what's best for each other."
