During the pregnancy, Darren - who is currently starring on Broadway alongside Laurence Fishburne and Sam Rockwell in classic play 'American Buffalo' - joked that the new arrival would become a "Broadway baby."
He told ETOnline: "I'm running out of words to say how excited I am. It's like the Scrabble board has run out of words. There will be a few opening nights! More than one opening night! Life abounds. I'm very grateful to be giving life to many things, including this play. The circumstances around it are very fortuitus and the poetry of it is not lost on me. I'm very pleased to be brining life into the world given the circumstances. A true Broadway baby!"
