Danny Mac thinks competing on 'Strictly Come Dancing' is like "jumping out of a plane".
The 28-year-old actor has won rave reviews for his routines with professional partner Oti Mabuse, but he still gets nervous every time he has to take to the dancefloor.
He said: "The whole thing is the most amazing experience. It's a lot to take on every week but it's great fun...
"I get an adrenaline rush from the nerves and then try and turn that into a performance.
"I've never been so nervous in my entire life.
"It's like jumping out of a plane. The idea thrills me, but there's the thought of standing there and wondering if the parachute will open."
And despite coming close to the top of the leaderboard every week, the former 'Hollyoaks' hunk insists he'd be happy to only score "three or four" for his dances.
He told OK! magazine: "Oti only shows me videos of professional routines, she doesn't show me 'Strictly' routines.
"When we get nines, I think, really? Becuase I've seen what a professional can do.
"I'd be happy with a three or a four.
"She does push me. She has such a high standard."
Danny is thankful he is able to give the show his full attention.
He said: "I am [really focused] - we spend six to 10 hours a day rehearsing.
"I haven't got a kid at home and I haven't currently got any filming commitments, so it's been great to give everything to it."
But Danny - who is engaged to actress Carley Stenson - does make sure he does get some time off from the show.
He added: "Sunday is our day to relax and stay away from it.
"I do try and give some time to having a life on Sundays because we work so hard from Monday through to Saturday night."
