Danniella Westbrook was sexually abused as a child.
The 'EastEnders' actress broke down in tears as she recalled the traumatic ordeal, which she believes has now left her disconnected from sex, at the age of just seven.
Opening up about the dark period of her life as part of her new documentary 'Danniella Westbrook: In Therapy', the 42-year-old actress said: "I was sexually abused as a child. I was seven years old, [it was] within the workplace and that continued for a lot of my life. At seven I was like a 14 year old. There were certain things going on with me that shouldn't have been... I was betrayed by lots of people.
"For me I've been the keeper of people's secrets for a long time and I don't want to do that any more. I tried to talk to people about it then - I still had to go to work and do things."
The blonde beauty is now loved up with her toyboy George Arnold but she has admitted the abuse she received as a young girl has had a lasting effect on her sex life.
According to Closer magazine, she explained: "Sex doesn't mean anything to me... I feel absolutely nothing."
Meanwhile, Danniella certainly hasn't had an easy ride with life over the years as she's also battled with family dramas, an on-going cocaine addiction and bankruptcy.
'Danniella Westbrook: In Therapy' will hit television screens across the nation next week on Channel 5.
