Danielle Radcliffe and Emma Watson are among the cast of 'Harry Potter' to pay tribute to the late Alan Rickman.
The actor - who played Professor Snape in the wizarding films - passed away at the age of 69 in London after a secret battle with cancer, his wife Rima Horton and family revealed.
Now Radcliffe - who portrayed the titular character - has remembered Rickman in a touching post on his Google Plus page in which he insists he will "carry the lessons he taught" him "for the rest of my life and career".
He wrote: "Alan Rickman is undoubtedly one of the greatest actors I will ever work with. He is also, one of the most loyal and most supportive people I've ever met in the film industry.
"As an actor he was one of the first of the adults on Potter to treat me like a peer rather than a child. Working with him at such a formative age was incredibly important and I will carry the lessons he taught me for the rest of my life and career. Film sets and theatre stages are all far poorer for the loss of this great actor and man."
Watson, who played Hermione Granger, feels "lucky" to have worked with Rickman and will "miss" him very much.
She wrote on Twitter: "I'm very sad to hear about Alan today. I feel so lucky to have worked and spent time with such a special man and actor. I will really miss our conversations. RIP Alan. We love you (sic)"
And author J.K. Rowling - who wrote the books the film series was based on - has hailed Rickman "a magnificent actor" and for her the world has "lost a great talent".
Taking to her Twitter account, she tweeted: "There are no words to express how shocked and devastated I am to hear of Alan Rickman's death. He was a magnificent actor & a wonderful man ... My thoughts are with Rima and the rest of Alan's family. We have all lost a great talent. They have lost part of their hearts (sic)"
During his career, Rickman - who had starring roles in 'Love Actually' and 'Die Hard' and 'Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves' among others - won a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, an Emmy Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
