Dame Kelly Holmes "loves" drinking nutritious smoothies.
The 46-year-old Olympic gold medallist, who has since retired from athletics, has admitted food is the most "important" thing for her to maintain a balanced lifestyle and she regularly sips on healthy shakes.
She told Metro newspaper: "Food is important to me for a balanced lifestyle. I love my smoothies. I do most of the food at my café [Café 1809]."
And the British middle distance athlete - who used to compete in 800 metre and 1500 metre disciplines - believes a person's diet is so essential because it is "the key" to giving you a greater outlook on life.
She explained: "People talk about wellness and feeling good, but what you put in your body is key to what you get out of life."
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty has admitted she likes to spend her money on something more enjoyable like a house rather than constantly sit on her pennies in the bank, although she is methodical and cautious about her spending.
She said: "I look at it that you get hardly anything putting money in a bank, so I'd rather spend money on something I will enjoy.
"Don't buy something you can't afford, but think about things you waste money on. An extra £50 here and there could make a big difference."
