Amy Schumer feels her critics are upset that she's not "thinner" and "prettier".
The 42-year-old actress has faced lots of online hostility over the years, and Amy believes that trolls dislike her because of her outspoken attitude.
During an appearance on the 'Not Skinny But Not Fat' podcast, Amy explained: "I think they're mad that I'm not thinner, I think they're mad I'm not prettier and that I still feel like I have a right to speak."
Amy also believes that she's been a victim of misogyny.
The Hollywood star said: "I think that they don't want any woman to speak. I mean, what woman has ever opened her mouth and not been torn to shreds?"
Amy has actually struggled to deal with the criticism and the abuse over the years.
She shared: "I could focus on that and it doesn't feel good when the whole Internet's mad at you. Don't get me wrong - it does not feel good and I don't wish that on anyone if they don't deserve it."
Amy previously took to social media to fire back at her critics, after she was targeted by online trolls.
The 'Trainwreck' star acknowledged online criticism of her "face and body" in a sarcastic post on X.
Amy - who has more than four million followers on the micro-blogging platform - said in 2017: "Thank you, each and every one of you, on all of your feedback on my face and body. But sometimes I think it kind of backfires on the trolls because the other day somebody tweeted about me, ‘Amy Schumer’s body looks like a bag of mashed potatoes,’ and I was like, ‘Okay, now I need mashed potatoes,’ you know? And I had them!"
