Colin Farrell found lockdown very “rewarding”.

The ‘Artemis Fowl’ star – who has sons James, 17, with Kim Bordenave, and Henry, 11, with Alicja Bachelda-Curus – admitted having his movie ‘The Batman’ delay production due to the coronavirus pandemic was a blessing in disguise because it meant he could spend more time with his children.
He said: “In the vacuum that I'm fortunate enough to live in, there's a home, a fridge full of food and a few dollars in the bank. And everyone that's very close to me is healthy, so I'm very lucky.
“It's been an incredibly rewarding time because it has allowed me to spend time with my family. We wouldn't have had that if I was still in London shooting the new 'Batman' movie.”
And Colin found having more time at home has made him “nostalgic”.
He said: “This whole experience has made me realise how life is going y so quickly. Do you find yourself going back to old photos and videos? being nostalgic? I imagine a lot of us are.
“I've done a lot of looking back. At 3am in bed one night, I was looking at videos of my boys when they were four and 10 years old.”
The 44-year-old actor has a “comfortable” life in Los Angeles but Ireland will always be his home and he feels more of an “emotional connection” to his place of birth.
He reflected recently: “I feel very comfortable here in LA.
“But even though my children are here and I feel very emotionally connected to them, I feel more emotionally connected to Ireland. I have a lot of melancholy and longing for Ireland.
“I'm an immigrant in LA, albeit a fancy one, and I have all the complications that come with that. I love Ireland so much.”
