Coldplay are feeling the "pressure" ahead of their half-time Super Bowl 50 show on Frebuary 7.

The 'A Sky Full of Stars' hitmakers are the headline act at next year's sporting event - which takes place in the City of Santa Clara at the state-of-the-art Levi's Stadium - and revealed the big day will be at the forefront of their minds over Christmas.

Speaking about their holiday plans for the festive period, frontman Chris Martin told The Sun: "We get a couple of weeks off but then we're preparing for the Super Bowl.

"It's a huge show so there's a lot of pressure and we've already started planning what we want to do."

A record 118.5 million viewers in the US watched Katy Perry perform in this year's half-time show and the 38-year-old singer believes it will also be the "greatest moment" of the band's career.

And after the announcment was made earlier this month, he also revealed that a "special guest" will be joining the rcokers on stage.

Admitting he is "really, really nervous" he teased: "We are so excited and honoured and thrilled to be playing the half-time show.

"It's about how do we stage our special guest.

"This is the greatest moment in our band's life. We are going to give it everything we have."
