Sir Cliff Richard has been voluntarily interviewed by police.
The 75-year-old singer met with South Yorkshire Police officers earlier this week and co-operated fully and answered all questions as part of an investigation into an alleged sex crime involving a young boy in the 1980s.
A spokesperson for the 'Devil Woman' hitmaker - who was interviewed under caution last year by detectives investigating the claims - said the allegations are "completely false".
The representative said in a statement: "Sir Cliff Richard voluntarily met with and was interviewed by members of South Yorkshire Police.
He was not arrested or charged, nor has he ever been.
He co-operated fully with officers and answered the questions put to him.
Other than restating that the allegations are completely false and that he will continue to co-operate fully with the police, it would not be appropriate for Sir Cliff to say anything further at this time."
Cliff's friend Jimmy Tarbuck - who was arrested on historic sex abuse claims but had the case against him dropped almost a year later - recently admitted his singer pal was feeling the strain of being under investigation.
He said: "I was with Cliff [Richard] the other day... He's a really decent man and the shadow he's been put under... it's the same thing [as I felt]."
