Christina Aguilera says Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani "deserve happiness".

The 'Voice' USA mentors have recently started dating after both going through painful marriage splits and their co-star Christina couldn't be happier for them.

She told 'Entertainment Tonight': "They deserve happiness. All I do know - from knowing Blake from so many seasons past and holding hands with the guys from season one [and] knowing Gwen for even longer than that, going to each other's kids' birthday parties, etc. - they're great people."

Christina, who divorced Jordan Bratman in 2011, also spoke about how difficult divorce is, saying: "I do know from my own personal experience how difficult divorce can be. I know first-hand what that's like, so good for them. Whatever makes them happy - they deserve it. Life is hard enough, right?"

Gwen previously admitted it like her "life blew up" as her marriage to Gavin Rossdale collapsed.

The star announced the end of their 13-year marriage in August, but Gwen revealed the "unexpected" split had occurred well before then.

Gwen said: "Everybody knows that my life blew up last February. I'd just been dealing with that. Unexpected. I was going along thinking that was going to be the rest of my life and it's not. I don't know what happened."
