Chrissy Teigen buried 'Fifty Shades of Grey' in the sand after reading two pages.
Chrissy Teigen buried 'Fifty Shades of Grey' on a beach in Mexico after reading two pages and branding it 'horrendous'.
The Sports Illustrated model wife of R&B singer John Legend, bought the best-selling erotic novel by E.L. James to read on holiday in Mexico but wasn't impressed by its "horrendous" content.
Crissy shared her reading plans on Twitter on Thursday, writing: "Need a book for our holiday away. Kind of want to read '50 shades' and basically mystery science library it for you via twitter. (sic)"
But a day later she admitted that she had already thrown in the towel.
Chrissy tweeted on Friday "Annnnd I'm done. 2 pages in thank you for enjoying mystery science library. (sic)"
She then attempted to read it again, before writing: "I have an extremely high pain tolerance. But I honestly don't think I can do this. This book is f**king horrendous."
She considered "throwing" the novel "in the ocean" before she came up with the idea to bury it on the beach.
The brunette beauty also posted a picture showing her digging on hole in the sand for the book on Instagram, with the caption: "I tried."
The 'Fifty Shades of Grey' film will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and will star Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele.
The film is due for release in February 2015.
