Chris Pratt feels it was his "responsibility" to make sure Jennifer Lawrence felt comfortable during their sex scene in 'Passengers' .
The 37-year-old actor wanted to "minimise the discomfort" his 26-year-old co-star felt when they were getting intimate for the science fiction film.
He said: "I don't want to make generalisations based on gender, but I feel the responsibility falls on me.
"Essentially it's your job to just minimise the discomfort by, you know, making sure here's nobody else on set than is required, having a closed set, periodically checking in, and just doing everything you can to assure the person you're with that they're okay."
However, Chris couldn't make it any less "awkward" and insists there is "really nothing sexy" about filming those type of scenes.
Speaking to Jess Cagle on SiriusXM, he added: "There's really nothing sexy about it at all. It's just really awkward.
"But you know, it's part of the gig and you just do what you can to check in with the other person and try to minimize any discomfort that they feel."
Meanwhile, Chris previously admitted he had to do "really deep mental preparation" to appear nude in the movie.
He shared: "It's a really deep mental preparation needed to show your butt on camera. I'm naked for some parts of this movie."
Chris got on really well with Jennifer when they worked together on set, sometimes for 17 hour days.
He added: "It was an amazing experience, and it's just the two of us, almost through the whole movie. It was really long hours but we had a good time. We spent a lot of time just laughing and bonding over our mutual interests, mostly the movie 'Dumb and Dumber'.
"It's crazy cause you get thrown into a situation where you spend 16 hours, 17 hours a day with somebody. You realise you spend more time, in the course of four months, with this new person than you may with somebody you've known your whole life."
