Chris Pratt thinks that bosses had to end Parks and Recreation because they "ran out of ideas".
The star rose to fame partly because of his role as Andy Dwyer in the NBC sitcom - set to return for its final, seventh season next year - and the actor has admitted that he believes it is time the show came to an end.
Speaking to GQ magazine he explained: "I think there's a collective feeling that people are creatively spent. You kind of run out of ideas."
Since starring in the series, Chris has gone on to appear in a number of movies including Guardians of the Galaxy, and now has his sights set on directing because he wants creative control over his projects.
He added: "I'm always biting my tongue. When I'm on set, I kind of wish I could just tell everybody what to do.
"If I could tell everybody what to do, it would be great, and it would be done faster. And so that's what I'm working toward. I want control. I want control over something."
