Chris Pratt has injured his ankle shooting his new movie.
The 44-year-old actor began filming 'Mercy' - in which he plays a detective out to prove his innocence after being accused of a violent crime - earlier this week but on Thursday (18.04.24), he was forced to rest after an attempt to do one of his own stunts went wrong.
Chris took to Instagram to share two photos, one of which showed him with his legs up on a chair and his right foot wrapped in ice, while the second showed his swollen ankle and a small cut.
He captioned the post: “Mercy filming day 4. I have such a great stunt team! AND I sometimes try to get in there and do some of my own stuff. Today, daddy caught a metal post to the ankle. Should be interesting moving forward."
The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star - who has 11-year-old son Jack with first wife Anna Faris and daughters Lyla, three, and Eloise, 23 months, with spouse Katherine Schwarzenegger - previously spoke of how much he enjoys getting involved in action scenes because of his past as a "great football player", though for him, nothing compares to the buzz he got from being out on the field.
The actor told Vanity Fair magazine: "I was a great football player.
"I was a fullback and an inside linebacker. I never had the speed to play college. But I loved it. I don’t think anything will ever take its place. The competition, the team.
"You get a little bit of that in acting. You get it with action films. You have to train, be in shape. I think I learned more about how to handle myself as an actor playing sports than I ever did in theatre."
