Chris Pratt became "impotent" after gaining weight for an acting role.
The 35-year-old Hollywood star - who's married to 'Scary Movie' actress Anna Faris, with whom he has two-year-old son Jack - has revealed he was unable to have sex after he piled on weight for his role in TV sitcom 'Parks and Recreation'.
Chris - who starred as Andy Dwyer on the show - revealed: "I was impotent, fatigued, emotionally depressed. I had real health issues that were affecting me in a major way. It's bad for your heart, your skin, your system, your spirit."
The actor was nearly 300Ibs at his biggest in 2013 and has admitted that, at the time, he thought his popularity was linked to his rotund appearance.
He told Men's Health magazine: "I saw myself in an episode and in the matter of two moments very close together, I thought, 'Oh my God, I'm getting fat.'
"And then almost immediately I did something else and I thought, 'Holy crap, I've never seen myself funnier.' And I put the two together."
However, Chris became convinced he needed to shed his excess weight after starring as a a Navy SEAL in the 2012 action thriller 'Zero Dark Thirty'.
He recalled: "I'd gone back and forth, lost weight for 'Moneyball', got fat again, then trimmed down for 'Zero Dark Thirty', then gained it all back again for Andy.
"That's when I saw 'Zero Dark Thirty' and right after walking out I was like: 'I'm going to get in shape and I'm never going to be fat again.'"
