Chris Evans doesn't think marriage "works".
The BBC Radio 2 DJ - who has been married three times - has admitted he doesn't think men and women know how to make their partnerships work any more because the original "model" of marriage is so outdated.
He said: "We began to get married three thousand years ago, which is about the ownership of a woman by a man, and actually, as a model, it doesn't work at all anymore."
The 49-year-old star - who was previously married to former 'Loose Women' panelist Carol McGiffin and the actress Billie Piper - recently visited a marriage counsellor and sex therapist to help him write his new book 'Call the Midlife'.
Speaking on Channel 4's 'Sunday Brunch', Chris - who has been married to third wife Natasha Shishmanian for eight years - explained: "I went to see all these different people. I went to see a doctor. I said to the doctor, 'What's most likely to go wrong with me?'
"You spend all this time trying not to die, and he said, 'You don't understand, what's the point of being alive if you can't bend down or you can't have fun with your kids?'
"He thinks the most important things are flexibility and bone density and muscle density. As opposed to whether you've got a life threatening illness.
"And then I go to see a marriage counsellor because, you know, you want to stay married. So you go, ok, well there's nothing wrong, but what could be on the horizon?
"How do marriages start to break down? How's that going to happen? And then I go to a sex therapist. 'How do you keep the light on in the lighthouse?'
"And I went to see Doctor Guy Meadows who is a professor of sleep, because I figured out the one thing I need to sort out is my sleep.
"So I go around and there's a chapter each on all of these different people, these experts, who help me gather my thoughts."
