Chris Evans is reportedly being investigated over claims he allegedly groped a female colleague's breast in the 1990s.
The 'Top Gear' presenter is reportedly set to be questioned by police after a woman claimed she'd been the victim of a "non-recent sexual assault" in Tower Hamlets 20 years ago.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said in a statement on Monday (04.07.16): "An allegation of non-recent sexual assault was made to police on May 23. The allegation was made by a woman against a man, and relates to incidents in Tower Hamlets in the 1990s. There have been no arrests and no person has been interviewed under caution."
Although law enforcement officers refused to divulge details on who is being lined-up for questioning, Chris was working within the east London borough at the time as he was hosting Channel 4's 'The Big Breakfast' between 1992 and 1994.
Meanwhile, this isn't the first time the 50-year-old presenter has been accused of indecent behaviour as it was also reported in May that a former colleague of his had claimed he'd exposed himself to her and grabbed her breast.
Chris later rubbished the allegations, stating that they purely amounted to a "witch hunt" and that "all these bullying claims and other allegations are just ridiculous."
The BBC have refused to comment on the recent claims but have stated the star will continue to host his Radio 2 show, according to the Daily Telegraph newspaper.
