Chloe Madeley’s puppy has taken up her “broody” space.
The 33-year-old fitness trainer admitted she had been thinking about starting a family with husband James Haskill but the urge has faded since they welcomed their dog Bert into their home.
Asked if they are thinking of starting a family, she told OK! magazine: “No, I was starting to get broody and then we got him and he’s filled up all my broody space.”
However, Chloe suggested she and James are not using contraception and she’d be happy if she fell pregnant.
She added: “We’re not not trying but we’re also not trying.
“There is absolutely no pressure but we’re also not doing everything we can to stay safe. Who knows what the next couple of years will bring?
“If it happened, it would be a lovely surprise.
“I’ve watched that happen to my brothers and I think they’re very lucky, because it doesn’t happen for everyone and it may not happen for me. We’ll see what happens.”
The couple married in 2018 and had been planning to have a bigger wedding celebration this year but are now delaying their celebration plans after so many couples had to shelve their plans to wed because of the coronavirus pandemic over the last year.
Chloe said: “Because so many of our friends have had to reschedule their weddings, James and I felt it would be selfish to tell everybody to book out a weekend for our wedding when we’re already married, so we’re going to stay quiet ont hat front for at least a year.
“We were going to do it in Mykonos, but now it will likely be the South of France, which is where my parents have a house.
“We’ll have a big fat party with everyone.”
