The 40-year-old TV host - who is reported to have previously dated rapper 50 Cent - said she has no enthusiasm for dating at the moment.
She said: "Dating has lost its allure for me. I have had so many bad dates, I cannot tell you which one was the worst."
Chelsea said she's "happy" to have taken a break from dating.
She told People: "I haven't dated for a year, and I am so happy.I can not tell you how much fun I am having just doing my own thing.
"All the men I dated seemed to be the same and none of them have it."
Chelsea was involved in a four-year relationship with Ted Harbert - the current Chairman of the NBC TV network - between 2006 and 2010, but their relationship collapsed because they struggled to separate their personal and professional lives.
She said in 2012: "I would come home from work, and Ted would be like, 'Do you want to watch your show?' and I'd be like, 'No, I just came from my show. That's the last thing I'd want to do."'
