Celine Dion is considering a tattoo tribute to her late husband.
The 'My Heart Will Go On' hitmaker was left devastated when her beloved spouse René Angelil died of cancer in January and is thinking of having a electrocardiogram line - a display of the electrical activity of the heart - etched on her skin as a permanent reminder of him.
She said: "Since my husband passed away, they can make the tattoo as his heartbeat.
"So, I might have his heartbeat on my body for the rest of my life."
The 48-year-old star - who had sons René-Charles, 15, and five-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson with René - made her revelation when asked to choose if she prefers tattoos or piercings.
And in her deliberations, Celine poked fun at the way tattoos alter as people get older.
Playing 'This or That' in a quickfire interview with The Scene, she said: "In tattoos, I've seen so many people that, they have tattoos when they're young and they get older and the name changes.
"You know, it used to be 'Louise' and now it's like, 'Louis.' You are goin' down! It's gravity, baby. It's goin' down."
And Celine admitted she would rather look fashionable than feel comfortable in her clothing.
Asked to choose between fashion or comfort, she said: "I don't care about comfort. The day you start thinking about comfort, you're getting old. And I'm just starting, so I'm not getting old!"
Though she is distraught at her husband's passing, the 'Think Twice' singer takes comfort in the fact René is no longer suffering.
She said recently: "He's good. He doesn't suffer anymore. I think he's enjoying looking down.
"Passing away is part of life. Many things help you to go through this, but especially my kids."
