Celine Dion may never date again.
The 'My Heart Will Go On' hitmaker tragically lost her husband René Angélil in January 2016 after his battle with throat cancer and reportedly doesn't think she will ever find love "comparable to Rene" again.
A source said: "Her husband was the love of her life and living without him is still incredibly painful for her. She is very conservative and isn't ready to date and she might never be. She talks about the love of her life often and still believes he is with her in many ways. She believes there could never have love again comparable to Rene."
Celine recently had to take some time off from singing to have surgery on her ear.
The insider added to Entertainment Tonight: "Her ear condition got so bad she has no choice take care of it. Her hearing has been affected for more than a year, so this surgery has been a long time coming. Her friends feel that once she gets back out on the stage to perform, she'll feel better. This is situational and she has many shows ahead of her and time to shine. She worries she is letting them down. Celine is guarded and private about her personal health. She doesn't like to complain but she was having a very hard time."
Celine had to cancel three weeks of Las Vegas shows to undergo the surgery.
Her team shared at the time: "Céline has been dealing with a condition in her middle ear known as Patulous Eustachian tube, which causes hearing irregularities, and makes it extremely difficult to sing.
"She has been experiencing this condition for the past 12-18 months but it has been successfully treated with various ear drop medications. During the past couple of weeks these medications have no longer been working to treat the condition, so she will undergo a minimally invasive surgical procedure to correct the problem."
